FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: described is a method for prevention of porcine circovirus viremia type 3 (PCV3) in a piglet, where the method involves administering the composition to a pig, wherein the pig is a pregnant pig or a sow and where the pregnant pig before the first farrowing or the sow gives birth to said piglet, where the composition contains ORF2 PCV3 protein, where the ORF2 PCV3 protein contains an amino acid sequence having at least 97% sequence identity with the sequence SEQ ID NO: 4, and wherein the ORF2 PCV3 protein is a recombinant baculovirus-expressed protein ORF2 PCV3. Also described is a method for preventing PCV3 viremia in a piglet, wherein the method comprises administering the composition to a pig, wherein the pig is a pig before the first farrowing or a pre-pregnancy piglet, where the pig before the first farrowing or the sow becomes pregnant with the said piglet and the pregnant pig before the first farrowing or the sow gives birth to the given piglet, where the composition contains ORF2 PCV3 protein, where the ORF2 PCV3 protein contains an amino acid sequence having at least 97% sequence identity with the sequence SEQ ID NO: 4, and wherein the ORF2 PCV3 protein is a recombinant baculovirus-expressed protein ORF2 PCV3.
EFFECT: invention extends the range of products for treating PCV3.
