METHOD OF DETERMINING THE DYNAMIC RANGE OF INPUT SIGNALS OF REPEATER, OPERATING IN DVT-T2 DIGITAL TELEVISION STANDARD Russian patent published in 2017 - IPC H04N5/20 H04N17/00 H04B1/60

Abstract RU 2621065 C1

FIELD: radio engineering, communication.

SUBSTANCE: method of determining the dynamic range of repeater input signals operating in the DVB-T2 digital television standard is to generate a test signal with predetermined modulation parameters, power that is within the dynamic range of the repeater input signals; this signal is addressed to the repeater input; the level of the input signal is reduced in order to determine the lower limit of the dynamic range, or increased in order to determine the upper limit of the dynamic range; the power level of the output signal, the signal spectrum, the bit error rate (LBER), the modulation error ratio (MER) are controlled at the signal output; the reaching of the dynamic range boundary is determined by the output of the repeater power beyond the set boundary, or by the output of signal spectrum beyond the boundaries of the spectral mask, or by the LBER increase to values above 10-8, or by the increase of MER the value above the allowed maximum, while for the test signal relay channel is set, the type of output signal channel is determined by the form of its spectrum, the limit of dynamic range is determined by the appearance of the repeater signal with a channel type different from Gaussian channel at the output.

EFFECT: determining the dynamic range of the DVB-T2 repeater input signal based on checking the ability to restore channel type of received signal to the Gaussian channel.
