FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: method consists in introduction of additional alloy into aluminium melt containing a modifying additive while simultaneously exposing the melt to ultrasonic field. The additional alloy is obtained in the form of cylindrical roll elements made of aluminium foil, which one of the surfaces is previously electrostatically sprayed with modifying additive, aluminium oxide powder with aluminium oxide powder particle size of 1-15 microns in the additional alloy of 4.5-5.5 wt %, and the resulting cylindrical roll elements are introduced vertically into the aluminium melt heated to a temperature of 720-750°C. The weight of introduced additional alloy is determined by the ratio Me=(0.08÷0.12)MA1, where Me is total mass of cylindrical roll elements, MAl mass of aluminium melt.

EFFECT: increase of strength and wear resistance of the alloy.
