FIELD: engines and pumps; technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a composite of a diesel fuel oxidation catalyst, comprising: a catalytic material for diesel oxidation on a support substrate, where the catalytic material contains a platinum component on a high-specific-surface refractory metal oxide support, wherein the catalyst material exhibits a peak oscillation frequency in range of 2085 to 2105 cm-1, as measured by CO-DRIFTS spectroscopy, before the operation of the vehicle having the diesel engine operating conditions, where the carrier substrate is a flow-through substrate or a flow-through wall filter, where catalyst composite is completely subjected to aging during production of catalyst material by treatment of catalyst composite at temperature of at least 500 °C in presence of moisture and oxygen, where the high-specific-surface refractory metal oxide-based support is aluminum oxide, silicon dioxide or an aluminum oxide and a silicon dioxide support and where the platinum component is in the form of particles and has an average particle size in range of 0.5 to 6 nm, as measured by CO chemisorption. Invention also relates to a method of forming a fully maturing composite of a diesel oxidation catalyst, a method of treating a gaseous stream containing nitrogen oxides (NOx), as well as to fully matured composite of diesel oxidation catalyst.
EFFECT: technical result consists in obtaining a catalyst which provides excellent and stable conversion of nitrogen oxide (NO) into nitrogen dioxide (NO2).
