FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention discloses a magnetic toner comprising magnetic toner particles containing binder resin and a magnetic component, and inorganic fine particles "a" and organic-inorganic composite fine particles, wherein the magnetic toner has (i) absolute specific gravity of 1.40 g/cm3 or more to 1.70 g/cm3 or less, and (ii) saturation magnetization at a magnetic field of 796 kA/m of 10 Am2/Kg or more to 20 Am2/Kg or less, the inorganic fine particles "a" is metal oxide with a volume resistivity of 1.0×103 Ohm-cm or more to 1.0×108 Ohm-cm or less, and organic-inorganic composite particles contain resin fine particles and inorganic fine particles "b", embedded in the resin particles, and the inorganic-organic composite fine particles have an absolute specific gravity of 1.50 g/cm3 or more to 1.75 g/cm3 or less.
EFFECT: obtaining of a magnetic toner with superior low-temperature fixing ability and excellent developability, fogging containment and transfer efficiency even in long-term application.
