EFFECT: improved protection of a gas pipeline from corrosion by controlling the values of the protective potential along the length of the gas pipeline and in remote points to maintain a uniform distribution and the amount of load of the master and slave cathode protection stations when working for a single gas pipeline to compensate for the impact of external non-stationary electric fields from different sources.
