FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: permanent rare-earth magnets (1) with alternating polarity fixed on the bottom of the locomotive in one or more lines. The conductive copper bus (2) is made with one horizontal wall and two vertical ones mounted on it, forming a U-shaped inverted profile. The copper bus (2) is installed on the railroad tie bars at the stop station, and when the vehicle moves its permanent magnet line (1) Is between the walls of this copper bus (2). The magnetic brake also contains electromagnetic coils (3) and (4) located along the length of the copper bus (2) in the vertical and horizontal walls of its U-shaped inverted profile. The electromagnetic coils (4) located in the horizontal wall of the copper bus (2) are divided into two parts by a non-magnetic bulkhead (5). The magnetic brake also contains a static reversible semiconductor frequency converter of a two-link type (6) connected to the electromagnetic coils (4). When the vehicle brakes in the electromagnetic coils (3) and (4) induce electric power recovered to the grid. To accelerate the vehicle, three-phase alternating current of controlled frequency and amplitude from the frequency converter (6) is supplied to the electromagnetic coils (3) and (4).
