SUBSTANCE: heart and great vessels are approached through a median sternal incision. The patient is connected to a cardiac pump. The patient is cooled to the target level of hypothermia. That is followed by separation of the aortic arch, branches and a descending aorta in the distal direction from a stenosis. That is followed by separation of the aortic arch, branches and a descending aorta in the distal direction from a stenosis. After clamping of the ascending aorta, aortic arch branches, the descending aorta in the distal direction from a stenosis, the descending aorta is dissected along the right lateral surface, starting distally to the stenosis area, and then passing to the lower surface of the distal and proximal portion of the aortic arch, and terminating the incision along the left lateral surface of the distal third of the ascending aorta on the left. Next, a patch of the necessary size is cut out of the synthetic material, after which the patch is sewn into the section of the dissected aorta with a continuous blanket suture. Actions are taken to prevent air embolism; the aorta and its branches are unclamped. The patient is heated to normal temperature.

EFFECT: method allows to increase surgery safety and to prevent intraoperative and postoperative complications.
