FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: electrochemical analytic test strip and a method for analyte determination in a body fluid sample are proposed. The test strip comprises an electrically isolating substrate and a profiled insulating layer over the substrate. At that, the conductive layer includes an operating electrode for the analyte, the first and second electrodes for the substance interfering analyte determination, common comparison counter-electrode, enzymatic reagent layer on the operating electrode and common counter-electrode, profiled spacer layer defining a chamber for sample reception, over the enzymatic reagent layer. The method comprises application of the sample with the interfering substance to the test strip, measurement of the first and the second electrodes electrochemical response and operating electrode uncorrected electrochemical response, uncorrected response adjustment based on the response of the first and the second electrodes.

EFFECT: generation of the electrochemical response to several relevant interfering substances, no reduction in analyte operating electrode efficiency and simplified process of test strip manufacture.
