SUBSTANCE: use for use with an analyte measuring device. Essence of the invention lies in the fact that a test strip for use with the analyte measuring device comprises a flat substrate, sample chamber formed in the substrate and configured to receive a sample from a user, and an integrated power source configured to supply electrical power to the analyte measuring device when inserting a test strip into the device, thus allowing the measuring device to receive sufficient power to perform a sample analysis using only the electrical energy provided by the test strip.
