FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: tubular electric heater comprises a body (1), a rod (2) of dielectric material and a spiral (3) of conductive material wound on the rod. The space between the rod and the body is filled with a dielectric material. The rod is made hollow, the spiral passes through the inner space of the rod and is wound on its outer surface. The body and the rod are made of cermet or quartz glass, and the space inside the rod, between the rod and the body is filled with quartz sand or liquid glass.

EFFECT: decreasing the energy consumption with decreasing the total heating time of the medium, and reducing the probability of failure.
