SUBSTANCE: sheet processing device comprises a device for thickness determination, wherein the thickness determination device includes a plurality of biasing conductive elements; a plurality of resonance circuits, which are arranged so that they correspond to the plurality of biasing elements. Each includes a coil facing the respective biasing element, and the capacitor, and adjacent resonance circuits resonate at different resonant frequencies; and a calculating unit which calculates the sheet thickness on the basis of the values of the resonant circuit plurality impedance and plurality of biasing elements.

EFFECT: improved accuracy of determining paper sheet thickness.
