FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method for producing blanks from commercially pure titanium with the grain size less than 0.4 mcm includes plastic deformation and thermomechanical treatment. Before plastic deformation provide the blanks cooling up to the temperature -196°C, the plastic deformation is carried out with the deformation degree e≤0.6, and thermomechanical treatment is carried out with the stepwise temperature decrease in the range 0.012-0.24 Tpl. and the deformation degree e≥2, after which perform the blanks annealing at the temperature not exceeding 0.24 Tpl., where Tpl. - titanium melting temperature.
EFFECT: increase of commercially pure titanium strength properties.
