FIELD: pharmacology.
SUBSTANCE: nonaqueous composition for oral care is proposed. It comprises of a complex of hydrogen peroxide with cross-linked polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP-H2O2 complex) in an amount of 0.55% of the total weight of the composition, wherein the content of hydrogen peroxide is 0.1% of the total weight of the composition, a silicone adhesive in an amount of 30% of the total weight of the composition, a silicone fluid in an amount of 15.55% of the total weight of the composition, a thickened mineral oil in an amount of 35% of the total weight of the composition, a cross-linked polyvinyl pyrrolidone in an amount of 18% of the total weight of the composition, sodium saccharinate in an amount of 0.3% of the total weight of the composition and a flavoring agent in an amount of 0.6% of the total weight of the composition. A method of teeth whitening teeth is also shown here. It includes applying the above composition to a mammal's teeth.
EFFECT: effective teeth whitening by using low concentrations of peroxide.
