FIELD: pharmacology.
SUBSTANCE: non-aqueous composition containing the following, by the composition weight %: dimethicone - 32%, thickened mineral oil - 30.1%, polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) - 20.5%, crosslinked polyvinylpyrrolidone hydrogen peroxide complex (PVP-H2O2) - 4.5%, crosslinked trimethylsiloxane/dimethiconol - 12%, flavour additive - 0.6%, and sodium saccharin - 0.3%. A method of teeth whitening is also sproposed, including application of the above composition to a mammal's teeth.
EFFECT: effective teeth whitening with low peroxide concentrations, the composition has the rheological characteristics necessary for physical stability and extrusion through an applicator such as a syringe pen.
