FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a recombinant DNA molecule, indicating the presence of transgenic events, where a representative sample of seed comprising said transgenic event is deposited as ATCC PTA-7899. The method for detecting the presence of DNA molecules from said transgenic event in a sample, which is performed by using of probe or a pair of DNA molecules is also disclosed. The invention also relates to a recombinant glyphosate resistant maize plant, and to method of controlling weeds using it, parts of said plant, its cells and seeds. A consumer product comprising the above transgenic event, as well as method of its production are also disclosed.
EFFECT: invention allows the efficient production of maize plants resistant to glyphosate.
