FIELD: biochemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biochemistry, namely to recombinant DNA molecule indicating presence of a transgenic event where a representative sample of a seed containing said transgenic event is deposited in ATCC as PTA-12669. Pair of DNA molecules and DNA probe are also disclosed to indicate presence of transgenic event or construct contained therein, where representative sample of the seed containing said transgenic event is deposited in ATCC as PTA-12669, as well as methods for detecting the above transgenic event with their application. Invention also relates to a transgenic maize plant, a part thereof and a seed with resistance to western corn rootworm and tolerance to glyphosate herbicide, as well as method for producing the aforementioned plant and method for producing a corn product from said plant or part thereof. Also, method of controlling growth of weeds in the field, as well as method of protecting corn plants against western corn rootworm and impact of glyphosate to the field are disclosed.

EFFECT: invention allows to efficiently obtain a plant with resistance to western corn rootworm and tolerance to herbicide glyphosate.
