SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a process for betulin preparation from birch bark, comprising bark grinding, extraction with alcohol, solution separation with subsequent removal of the solvent therefrom, wherein isopropyl alcohol heated to 75°C is added to the ground bark at a ratio of alcohol:elm 5:1, and the mixture is further sonicated at 75-82°C for 1-1.5 hours.
EFFECT: new method for betulin production from birch bark with the betulin content in the birch bark extract is 70 to 95 percent.
