FIELD: machine engineering.

SUBSTANCE: method involves placing the tool on a rotating workpiece mounted in the machine chuck so that the tool axis is at an angle to the rotation axis of the workpiece, and processing the hole wall in the circular sweeping motion of the tool. Herewith the tool with an elastic element, mounted thereon, is used, and when the tool is brought to the workpiece, the elastic element is brought into contact with the machine chuck or the workpiece until the tool touches the workpiece. As a resilient element, a spring or a rubber bushing may be used.

EFFECT: improving the quality of surface treatment and the geometry of the resulting polyhedral hole.
