FIELD: testing equipment.

SUBSTANCE: method involves creating a pressure drop across the cover wall and simultaneous registering of normal displacements of the cover surface when it rotates around its axis with the help of stationary sensors located in the same plane with the axis of the cover along its generatrix. The validity of a thinwalled cover is evaluated by comparing the values of the maximum cover surface displacements with their baseline values.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to simplify the monitoring process by reducing the number of displacement sensors, reduce labour input and maintain the integrity of the cover.
