SUBSTANCE: method includes receiving, by the first sensor, the first eye image, while the eye is illuminated by the first lighting means, and isolating the area of interest. Herewith the first sensor is located at the fixed offset from the first illumination means and the second sensor. The second sensor provides the receipt of the second eye image for the predetermined period of time from the receipt of the first image, in which an area of interest is determined. The image processor is configured to determine, whether, at least, one of the first and the second images includes artifacts arising from one or both of the first lighting means and the eyewear, inside the area of interest.
EFFECT: obtaining the non-artifact biometric eye images.
