SUBSTANCE: steel contains, wt %: 0.001-0.08 carbon, silicon 0.01-0.5, manganese 0.01-0.6, aluminium 3.5-7.0, chrome 0.001-0.3, nickel 0.001-0.3, copper 0.001-0.3, 0.0001-0.3 vanadium, niobium 0.0001-0.3, molybdenum 0.001-0.5, sulfur - not more than 0.02, phosphorus - not more than 0.02, nitrogen - not more than 0.015, titanium 0.001-0.3, cobalt 0.0001-0.010, iron and inevitable - the rest. The damping capacity of steel and products made from it increases in the area of small (from 0.85×10-4 up to 1.15×10-4) and medium (from 1.8×10-4 up to 2.2×10-4) amplitudes of elastic deformation, while maintaining the technological properties.

EFFECT: high damping capacity, used in the manufacture of cold-and hot-rolled sheets and bands, bar iron, rods and forgings.
