FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: coupling is made of Ti-Ni-Nb-Zr alloy with the following element content (at. %): Ti - from 42.9 to 43.6, Ni - from 45.3 to 46.1, Nb - from 8.4 to 9.6, Zr - from 1.5 to 3. The coupling is annealed in a vacuum at a temperature of 800-850°C for 3.5-4 hours, followed by cooling. After that, the coupling is expanded at a temperature of -75°C to +10°C.
EFFECT: it is possible to expand the coupling at a temperature higher than the cryogenic temperature and to store the manufactured coupling at room temperature and above.
