SUBSTANCE: process is carried out by polymerizing ethylene in an aliphatic solvent medium using phenoxyimine titanium-halide complexes. The polymerization catalyst is introduced into the reaction medium in dry form together with the cocatalyst under conditions of increasing stirring speed.
EFFECT: production of polyethylene of reactor powder of ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene with improved morphology that allows processing reactor powder into ultrahigh-modulus and ultrahigh-strength tapes and fibers by cold forming without solvents.
