FIELD: various technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method of producing reactor powder of ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene with a special morphology and nanostructure, suitable for processing by direct solution-free solid-phase technology. Method involves polymerisation of ethylene in an aromatic solvent using a catalyst – a post-metallocene halide complex of titanium (IV) and a combined organometallic activator consisting of a mixture of aluminium and organomagnesium compounds. Ethylene is fed into the reactor with the help of a bubbler, the lower edge of which is lowered by 2/3 of the height of the reactor; a standard anchor stirrer is used as a mixing device; the mixing speed is 200–250 rpm.
EFFECT: method simplifies and increases technological effectiveness of the method of producing reactor powder of ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene with a special morphology and nanostructure, suitable for processing by direct solution-free solid-phase technology, using standard reactors with a capacity of at least 10 l.
