FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method for lacrimal fluid fibrinolytic activity evaluation involves tears selection from the lower conjunctival eye arch, titration of the analysed lacrimal fluid by a series of two dilutions with buffer solution, adding a latex reagent containing mouse monoclonal fibrin D dimer antibodies to the resulting samples, then the mixture is agitated, the agglutination test is recorded in the sample at the highest dilution value, and the D-dimer concentration is calculated by the formula: C(D-dimer)=200×D, ng/ml, where C is D-dimer concentration (ng/ml), d is the highest dilution, and 200 is the reagent sensitivity. D-dimer concentration of 3200 ng/ml is considered threshold to confirm an increase in the lacrimal fibrinolysis system activity to assess lacrimal fluid fibrinolytic activity, using D-dimer concentration in the lacrimal fluid as a marker.
EFFECT: method allows to effectively evaluate the fibrinolytic activity of lacrimal fluid.
