SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology, and concerns a method for preventing the progression of primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG). Method involves dosed pneumatic vasocompression as part of a complex therapy. Against the backdrop of drug therapy, dosed pneumatic vasocompression is used by applying a seven-chamber compression tire on the shoulder area alternately on the left and right hands in wave compression mode with automatic memorizing. Time for maintenance of pressure in the cuff chambers is 25 s, the pressure of the compressed air fed into chambers is 60 mm Hg without reaching the pain threshold in the patient. 10 cycles are performed for 30 minutes, 2 times week for 2 weeks.

EFFECT: method provides more effective prevention of the progression of primary open-angle glaucoma by stimulating fibrinolytic blood activity.
