FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: new composite sorbent for the gaseous medium containing silica gel or hydrolytic lignin as a base, with particles of ultradisperse polytetrafluoroethylene formed on the surface of silica gel and lignin particles and partly in macropores, formed during the thermal destruction of solid waste of polytetrafluoroethylene by exhaustive fluorination in the presence of catalyst of cobalt trifluoride.
EFFECT: proposed sorbent possesses high sorption properties and high efficiency of air purification from organic and inorganic chemical substances.
