FIELD: ventilation.

SUBSTANCE: air conditioning system for a vehicle with a passenger compartment and the engine compartment comprises the first circulation loop with heat exchanger for exchanging heat between outdoor air and the first coolant, the second circulation loop with heat exchanger for exchanging heat between the passenger compartment air and the second heat medium, the first and second fans linked with each of the noted heat exchangers, the air conditioning system unit with the compressor and the refrigerant circuit and the A/C system control unit. The system further comprises a solid electrolyte oxygen pump installed in the engine compartment with an air supply pump and an oxygen supply tube to the passenger compartment and an oxygen sensor installed in the passenger compartment and connected to the air conditioning control unit.

EFFECT: improved air quality in the passenger compartment by maintaining a normal or high oxygen content and avoiding contaminated outside air from entering the interior when the outside air supply is blocked.
