FIELD: test equipment.
SUBSTANCE: tightness control is carried out by using a working gas mixture of air with control gas (SF6 gas or helium). Outside the controlled fuel tank, a working gas mixture supply line and a working gas mixture circulation line are provided. In the working gas mixture supply line, a gas mixer is installed to obtain the concentration of the mixture necessary to detect the leak. In the circulation line, a fan is installed to circulate the mixture through the fuel tank. Tightness or leakage of the controlled fuel tank is established according to the readings of the leak detector - the device, which allows to detect leakage of the gas mixture and to provide a quantitative estimate of the leak value.
EFFECT: creating a stable concentration of the working gas mixture and eliminating the stratification of the working gas mixture in the fuel tank, thereby improving the efficiency and quality of the tightness control of fuel tanks of complex configuration.
