SUBSTANCE: according to the method of probe penetration of the ice cover, the probe is placed in a heat-causing opening shell, which contacts the ice cover of the space object and melts the ice. Heat for melting ice is generated by a radioactive substance moving in the ice cover of the space object together with the shell under gravity. As the probe moves, the water on the treated area freezes and the ice cover is restored. When the bottom of the ice cover is reached, the shell opens and releases the probe.

EFFECT: ensuring the safety of the space object when the probe moves in the thickness of its ice cover.
