FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: protective equipment contains a shell filled with regolith and made of a material based on fiberglass with operating temperature limits from -200C° to +550°C and a strength of 180÷400 kgf/mm2. The regolith layer has a density of 3.0±0.3 g/cm3 and thickness δ=0.5÷0.75 m. The dimensions of the shell in the form of a parallelepiped constitute δ×2δ×3δ. According to the method, the protected object is updated with a supporting structure that is covered with a metal mesh. On the surface of the mesh are laid in butt in at least two layers of shell, filled with regolith. The joints between the shells of the lower layer overlap the shells of the upper layer.
EFFECT: increase in reliability, manufacturability and reduction of material consumption of means of protection of artificial objects.
