FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: method for forming periodic bipolar oscillations with the assigned phase shift is based on the use of an astatic phase locked loop (PLL) with a precision tune of a tunable oscillation, with a phase discriminator (LPD) of a logical type having a discriminative relay type characteristic without a zero shift, the noise level adjustment of the fronts of the logic impulse oscillations applied to the inputs of the discriminator. The device for implementing the method comprises a signed logic phase discriminator, a bipolar voltage generator with a nonlinear law of variation, a proportional link, an integrator, an adder, two voltage comparators with zero reference threshold, a delay element.

EFFECT: realisation of the adjustable phase shift of bipolar oscillations of identical frequencies with the resolution provided by the analog phase control element.
