FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: in the method for obtaining fire retardant coating for fiberglass, a coating is applied, the thickness of which after drying is 0.7-1.1 mm, from a composition comprising (wt %): ammonium polyphosphate form II (23-25), pentaerythritol (5-7), melamine (7), titanium dioxide rutile (3.5), aluminium hydroxide (11), acrylate solution Copolymer in an organic solvent 20-30. After that, the coating is dried at the temperature/duration ratio necessary to completely dry the coating. The starting composition is obtained by first mixing the liquid components, acrylate copolymer and solvent, after which the remaining free-flowing components are added, then mixing is carried out until a homogeneous viscous mass is obtained, the particle size of the wedge not exceeding 100 microns.
EFFECT: invention provides a fire retardant coating for fiberglass with accelerated drying in a way that is technologically efficient, providing the formation of high-speed foam and reducing the heating rate of the surface to be protected.
