FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a fire-retardant coating composition. Composition contains organofunctional polymer GENIOSIL STP-E10, melamine as a gas-producing agent, pentaerythritol as an additional source of carbon, a mixture of ammonium polyphosphate and zinc borate as a fire retardant, titanium dioxide, a mixture of plasticisers, a light stabilizer, a rheological additive, a dispersant, a crosslinker and xylene as a solvent. Composition additionally contains trimethoxyvinylsilane, reinforcing filler MIVOLL Wollastonite 10–97 or ground carbon with particle size of 0.2 mm, or ground glass fiber with particle size of 0.2 mm, an antifoaming agent, a pigment. Mixture of plasticisers is a mixture of ethers of orthophosphoric acid in weight ratio of 1:1, the dispersant used is an alkylammonium salt of the high molecular weight copolymer, the cross-linking agent used is 3-(trimethoxysilyl) propylamine; the rheological additive is a mixture of a solution of modified urea and bentonite clay organically modified with a quaternary ammonium base, with the following ratio of components, wt. %: organofunctional polymer - 8.0–15.0, mixture of plasticisers - 5.0–20.0, antipyrene - 15.0–40.0, melamine - 5.0–15.0, pentaerythritol - 5.0–15.0, titanium dioxide - 7.0–10.0, reinforcing filler - 0.5–3.0, rheological additive - 0.1–3.0, antifoaming additive - 0.4–0.8, light stabilizer - 1.0–2.5, dispersant - 0.4–3.0, trimethoxynivinylsilane - 0.5–2.5, 3-(trimethoxysilyl)propylamine - 0.5–1.5, pigment - 0.00–0.01, xylol is the rest. Composition can additionally contain as a plasticiser a reactive product based on diphenylol propane and epichlorohydrin in amount of 0.5–6.0 wt. %, antipyrene is antimony trioxide in amount of 0.5–3 wt. %.

EFFECT: technical result is coatings based on disclosed composition have high process and consumer properties: manufacturability of composition when applying by Wagner high-pressure unit (spray angle of more than 40 degrees) does not depend on amount of solvent, application of multilayer coating, consumption of composition per 1 mm of dry coating 1_6 kg/m2, improved operational properties of coating: coating withstands prolonged exposure of oil products and water, can be operated in temperature range from minus 60 to plus 100 °C.
