FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fire-retardant paint used for coating buildings with bearing metal structures. Fire-retardant paint protects metal structures while paint blistering caused by heat and loss of load-bearing capacity. Fire-retardant paint contains a film former, a solvent, a diluent, a carbonizer, a foaming agent, a fire retardant, a pigment, a thickener, a wetting agent in following ratio of components, by weight: styrene-acrylic copolymer 9–12, butyl acetate or xylene 10–13, white spirit 14–16, pentaerythritol 12–14, melamine 10–14, fire-retardant ammonium polyphosphate, phase II 22–26, fire-retardant chloroparaffin 0.1–4, fire-retardant (tris 2,3-dibromopropyl) phosphate or homologues 2.5–6.5, pigment 5–9, thickener 0.5–1, wetting agent 0.2–0.5.
EFFECT: technical result of the invention is increased fire-retardant properties of the paint, expressed in the increased time the sample reaches an average temperature of 500 °C to 121–122 min, as well as the possibility of applying a paint with thickness of 0_6 mm in one pass.
