FIELD: mining engineering.
SUBSTANCE: jaw crusher contains a housing with side walls and a crushing chamber. The crushing chamber includes a movable jaw (2), a stand (1) and two side walls (3). The operating element (15) is located in vertical guides above the inlet (8) of the crushing chamber. The operating element is suspended from the lifting mechanism. The lifting mechanism is fixed to the transverse beam (10) of the frame (9). The frame is mounted on the upward extended ends of the side walls of the crusher. The operating element is made of a plate in the form of a wedge in the shape of a rectangular triangle in longitudinal section. One side of the wedge with a large leg is made in the form of a flat surface. The other side of the wedge is made in the form of continuous alternating curved surfaces (20, 21, 22). Curvilinear surfaces form transversal ledges with vertices. The vertices are located as the beginning of the first and the end of the last curved surface on the hypotenuse of the triangle and are provided with attached (23) patches with cutters (24) of triangular cross section. The ends of the side walls of the wedge are made in the form of guides (25, 26) rectangular in cross-section.
EFFECT: increased reliability of the crusher in operation.
