FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: aircraft engine fan comprises a rotor having a plurality of blades made of composite material comprising woven fibers, and a system for detecting deformation due to object collision with fan. At least one fiber in each of the blades is an optical fiber comprising a part forming a Bragg grating. A transceiver suitable for sending an optical signal to the optical fiber and receiving an optical signal in return from the optical fiber is connected to the optical fiber. A detector module providing deformation detection of the mentioned fan, when the received optical signal shows a correlation with a predetermined wave profile of waning impact on the blade at a certain rotation speed, is connected to the transceiver. When deformation caused by collision of object with fan is detected, the optical signal is sent to at least one optical fiber of each of the blades, the optical signal incoming from the optical fiber is received, and detection of fan deformation is ensured if the received optical signal shows a correlation with a predetermined wave profile of waning impact on blade at a certain rotation speed. Another invention of the group relates to the aircraft engine comprising such fan.
EFFECT: group of inventions eblables to simplify the detection of fan composite blade damage caused by a collision with a foreign object.
