SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nondestructive testing and can be used for monitoring rotating parts of an aircraft engine. Invention relates to a system and a method for detecting defects on an object, comprising the following steps: forming image (13) representing said object (11) on the basis of signals (9) relating to the object, constructing subdivisions (15) of said image according to auto adaptive resolutions and calculating differentials between different subdivisions to detect an abnormal subdivision indicating omens of breakdown.
EFFECT: technical result is increased accuracy and reliability of obtained data.
