FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: patients with alimentary-constitutive obesity receive courses of reflexotherapy in the form of acupuncture by the braking method and hypocaloric diet therapy. Additionally, one hungry day a week is conducted and monthly monitoring of the insulin and leptin hormones level is carried out. If the insulin hormones level exceeds 14 μU/ml and leptin level exceeds 30 pg/ml, repeated reflexotherapy courses are conducted to prevent relapse. The total duration of treatment is 8-10 months.
EFFECT: method allows to obtain a stable and long-term effect of weight loss with normalization of hormonal profile, lipid and carbohydrate metabolism through reflexotherapy and diet therapy with insulin and leptin hormones levels monitoring.
