FIELD: machine engineering.

SUBSTANCE: head filter contains a tubular body divided by a transverse partition into a filter chamber and a discharge chamber with a branch pipe, an external rotation drive and a screw connected thereto that serves as a drive element and passes through both chambers. The filter chamber includes an inlet and outlet brach pipes, a slot filter element, longitudinal guide rods and a cleaning device in contact with the inner surface of the filter element. The chambers are communicated by means of a longitudinal telescopic tube composed of inner, outer and intermediate tubes. The free end of the outer tube is mounted in the partition, and a cleaning device is connected to the free end of the inner tube, coupled with a screw and guide rods adapted to reciprocate at a reversible rotation of the screw.

EFFECT: immediate regeneration of the slot filter element in the head filter and expansion of the functionality of the latter as a whole.
