FIELD: mining engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method of development of a bituminous oil reservoir from a horizontal well includes construction of a horizontal well drilling in, running tubing, supply of coolant through the tubing and taking well stream. Prior to the construction of the well, exploration is carried out to identify areas with gas caps. The development test well is drilled above a horizontal well penetrating the gas cap. The horizontal well is located under the gas cap. In the construction of wells, pressure and temperature control devices are installed. An inert gas is used as a working agent in the development test well. It is injected into the gas cap, following the condition that the pressure in the gas cap should be greater by 5-20% of the pressure of the working agent injection into the horizontal well. As a working agent for a horizontal well, water vapor is used, which is injected cyclically, together with holding for thermocapillary imbibition and further take of products through the tubing.
EFFECT: increase in the oil recovery factor, while reducing the cost of heating the producing reservoir by avoiding the breakthrough of the coolant into the gas caps.
