FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: bituminous oil filed development method includes construction of production and injection wells with horizontal sections located one above the other in productive reservoir stratum, injection of water vapor into both wells to create permeable zone between horizontal sections, injection of water vapor into the upper injection well and extraction of products from the lower production well. And before commencement of construction, the filed is studied to select areas with gas caps, horizontal sections of the wells are located below the gas cap, and pressure control devices are installed in the wells during construction. Steam injection into both wells and then into the injection well is performed at a pressure not exceeding the pressure in the gas cap.
EFFECT: increase in the oil recovery factor in fileds with gas caps, while reducing costs by eliminating the outbreak of heat carrier into gas caps.
