FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: to determine fluoride ions in human and animal blood, blood samples are taken for analysis, followed by treatment with a 10% alcohol solution of sodium hydroxide at a ratio of 1:2 to the blood sample. The samples are mixed by shaking for 2 minutes or sonicated for 2 minutes. Then, the samples are centrifuged, the solution is separated and the fluoride ion content is determined by the potentiometric method using a fluoride-selective electrode.
EFFECT: invention provides a method for quantitative determination of fluorine in the blood under the action of fluoride compounds on humans and animals.
