FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to experimental medicine, physiology and veterinary science, namely to clinical laboratory diagnostics and concerns a method of preparing rat venous blood for biochemical and proteomic analysis. Blood is sampled in container containing 5-12 % ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid in a volume ratio of 3:1 to the acid solution. Stirred for 5-15 minutes, centrifuged at 800G for 15 minutes at a temperature not higher than 5 °C. Supernatant is separated and centrifuged at 3000G for 20 min at temperature not higher than 5 °C.

EFFECT: invention enables to obtain non-haemolysed biological samples of blood serum of wild and laboratory rats, which provides accuracy of determining concentration of proteins during full proteomic and biochemical analysis, reducing individual variability of parameters.
