If the value of the ratio of the sum of the obtained numerical values of distances from the point of tragion to the subnasal point on the right and on the left and the dental coefficient 2.3 is 110.0 to 119.0 mm, teeth belong to the normodont type of dentition, if the value of this ratio is more than 119.0 mm - to the macrodont type, if the value of this ratio is less than 110.0 mm - to the microdont type.
EFFECT: method contributes to increasing the efficiency of dentoalveolar anomalies diagnosis and planning orthodontic treatment of patients in the period of permanent teeth bite using the edgewise technique and individual metal arcs and allows to select the tactics of orthodontic and orthopedic treatment according to the type of dental system identified.
