FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: method involves carrying out clinical examination of patient. Imprint is taken from the maxilla and make plaster diagnostic control model. Actual length of anterior segment of patient superior dental arch is measured according to the first version on model for given patient from a point between medial cutters from their vestibular surface along sagittal plane to intersection point with a line connecting the first premolars between Pont points. Optimal individual superior dental arch length of anterior segment is determined. It is compared to actual superior patient dental arch anterior segment length and their difference is interpreted in terms of normal or marked anomaly. The second version involves measuring actual superior patient dental arch anterior segment length on model from a point between medial cutters from their vestibular surface on sagittal plane to intersection point with a line connecting distal surfaces of the second permanent premolars. Optimal individual length of the superior dental arch is determined and compared to actual length of the superior dental arch length of anterior segment and their difference is interpreted in terms of normal or marked anomaly.

EFFECT: high accuracy in assessing anomaly based on available sagittal dimensions of craniofacial complex.
