SUBSTANCE: compact 90-degree twisting consists of the input waveguide with the horizontal polarisation, the coaxial with it the output waveguide with the vertical polarisation and the polarisation converter, placed between the input and output waveguides. The polarisation converter has the cross-shaped window connection, that represents the combination of two perpendicular rectangular windows, the sides of which are parallel to the sides of the input waveguide with horizontal polarisation and the output waveguide with vertical polarisation. In the plane perpendicular to the axes of the input waveguide with horizontal polarisation and the output waveguide with vertical polarisation, the rectangular windows have sizes larger, than the sizes of the input waveguide with horizontal polarisation and the output waveguide with vertical polarisation. The polarisation conversion is carried out at two edges, lying on one of the square intersection area diagonals of perpendicular rectangular windows. The length of the polarisation converter, the sizes of the rectangular windows, the length and thickness of the edges are determined on the basis of the conditions of the compact 90-degree twisting best matching in the required frequency range.

EFFECT: expansion of the relative operating frequencies bandwidth at decreasing of longitudinal dimensions.
