FIELD: radio engineering and communications.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering, namely to means for converting polarization of waveguide waves. Invention can be used in antenna systems with bandwidth of about 5 %. Polarization transducer comprises successively located and connected by transitions a segment of an input circular waveguide with diameter D1, a segment of intermediate waveguide having a cross-section in form of oval, and a section of output circular waveguide with diameter D2. Size of small axis of the oval is D1, and the size of major axis of the oval is D2>D1.
EFFECT: as a result of use of the invention, a technical result is achieved, which consists in the possibility of manufacturing a polarization transducer from a single blank by turning-milling or electroerosion treatment of the inner cavity of blank from one of its sides.
