FIELD: radio engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering. A compact 90-degree twist in a rectangular waveguide, consisting of an input waveguide with horizontal polarization, an output waveguide with vertical polarization, and a polarization converter placed between them, which is a combination of two perpendicular rectangular windows, the sides of which are parallel to the walls of the input waveguide with horizontal polarization and the output waveguide with vertical polarization. In this case, the waveguides are integrated into the dielectric substrate and are located out of alignment, the electrical length of the rectangular window is determined by the relation Le≤0,4, where is the wavelength in the waveguide calculated for the central frequency of the operating range, at the electrical length the waveguides are made with a rounding radius , where is the effective width waveguide.
EFFECT: expansion of the relative bandwidth of operating frequencies, improvement of weight and size parameters, increase in manufacturability.
